Prague office celebrate 20 years of democracy designing a dog house with 20 architects for an international exhibition 20after20

The exhibition brief was as follows - 'The goal of the exhibition is to present Czech and Slovak architecture through fresh projects instead of archive of already proven architectures. It challenges the architects to design a small, easy to assemble and eventually functional design of bird / dog house. We hope that the outcome will show not only spectrum of architectural thinking and design methods, but also that the designed objects will have their architectural quality. We anticipate that houses designed by selected architects will carry their signature and will reflect individual design approaches used in real architecture. The brief is to make a 1:1 model which of 1x1x1m maximum size.'

Our Prague office responded with the following exhibition text for the catalogue – 'What do you love? Colours ? Sensations ? Your way of life ? Your pets closeby ? You know your strengths and weaknesses. That is why you are the ideal person to design a home for your little dog. Start with what you have. Assembling a few planks of wood into a well known configiration of a dog house and choose an option from the variety of styles and patterns from our catalogue. Add a bowl, a few knick knacks and a bone. Ready ! The result is instantaneous. Your dog will gain an original Czech house inspired by the events, personalities and art of the last twenty years.
