HMCS Concept Designers Consultant Framework

Feilden+Mawson were appointed to the Concept Designers Consultant Framework by Her Majesty's Courts Service (HMCS) in June.  One of five national architects selected, the framework is for a duration of three years and covers projects in England and Wales and builds on experience gained over the past 8 years from work at the Royal Courts of Justice and other Court projects.

Design projects commissioned under the previous HMCS framework included the UK Supreme Court; the renovation of the Grade 2 Listed Middlesex Guildhall on Parliament Square, the Salisbury Law Court; a Combined Court Centre currently under construction and due for completion mid-2009 and the Gloucestershire Criminal Courts; an eight Court Centre programmed for completion in 2011.  In a technical advisory role, F+M are currently working on the Aberystwyth Law Court, Snaresbrook Crown Court Centre and on the Queens Building at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Completed court projects for HMCS include the Manchester Civil Justice Centre, Hendon Magistrates Court and the concept design for the Newport Magistrates Court.
