Good news for Lotus on their 60th anniversary

Feilden+Mawson are hoping to help Lotus celebrate their 60th anniversary in style by helping them gain outline planning permission for the Hethel Technology Park, a new specialist engineering facility for Norfolk. The Masterplan is to include expansion space for the already successful Hethel Engineering Centre and aims to become a centre for automotive and prototyping engineering for the UK. The site is adjacent to Lotuss existing facility and will cover approximately 21 hectares; a truly exciting prospect for the Norfolk economy.

The Masterplan forms part of Lotus’s 5 year plan that sees them launching 3 new models, the first of which, the Evora (pictured), was showcased at their recent 60th Anniversary Open Day at Hethel. Lotus models from the last six decades were proudly displayed including many of their engineering talents, such as the Tesla Roadster, the first production all-electric sports car which they have helped to design and develop.
