The Boathouse shortlisted for award
The Boathouse on the Nene Waterfront in Wisbech received a 'Highly Commended' at the RICS awards evening held recently at the Duxford Air Museum, Cambridge.
Over 200 people attended the black-tie event, with the great and the good including F+M Partners Philip Bodie and Robert Todd and Associate David Kean. The head of English Heritage gave the key-note speech and praised the quality of the various entrants.
The four categories represented were: Conservation, Regeneration (Boathouse), Sustainability and Community. We were up against stiff competition in our category including Accordia (Stirling Prize Winner), ORBIS, University of Suffolk Campus Phase 1 Waterfront Building, and Grimwade Street Student Accommodation.
The Boathouse and Suffolk Phase 1 were the only projects to be awarded ‘Highly Commended’ which the Feilden+Mawson team are naturally delighted about.
