Project DB achieves planning approval

Century Logistics commissioned F+M to design a Distribution Centre which was to be more than  " just a box " . The site is located on the Thetford Enterprise Park Masterplan site which sits between the town and the A11. It will be the first building to be built as part of the Masterplan and as such the design was of paramount importance to the client and to Breckland Council.

Using horizontally laid cladding materials finished in metallic silver, dark grey and black, along with an integrated tinted glazing system, the Distribution Centre has a contemporary and sleek form. Due to its 12,000sqm footprint the scheme had to go to committee as a major project, where F+M were recommended for the quality of design as setting a high standard for the rest of the Masterplan development. Breckland Council's planning committee passed the scheme unanimously and added that it was refreshing to see an interestingly-designed warehouse building.
