Prague Zoo restaurant terrace remodelling

The Prague office has just completed a substantial remodelling of the restaurant terrace at the Prague Zoo.

The principal design aim was to achieve maximum visual and physical connection with the adjacent Zoo complex and to create a continuous social space.Existing walls and barriers were removed to allow DDA access. The new terrace is made of stone paving in oak timber frames supplemented by zinc coated steel handrails and ramps.

The timber steps in between the levels, allow for informal seating and complement the traditional tables and chairs. The next phase of the project will be adding new food kiosks at the eastern edge of the terrace.
