Feilden+Mawson are delighted to announce that Gabriela Marrero-Vasquez has recently become a BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP).

Gabriela is accredited to provide the design team with expert advice on built environment sustainability, environmental design and environmental assessment. She is able to facilitate the team's efforts to successfully schedule activities, set priorities and negotiate the trade-offs required to achieve a target BREEAM rating when the design is formally assessed.

Feilden+Mawson are keen to utilise Gabriela's skills to take the lead in managing the delivery of environmental design, further progressing the practice's commitment to delivering a sustainable built environment. Having a BREEAM AP within the design team benefits all projects, even those not seeking certification, by re-assuring clients that the practice is using industry recognised, sustainable, design principles.

Prior to joining Feilden+Mawson, Gabriela, who is a registered architect in Dominican Republic, has worked in one of the top high-end architectural firms in the Caribbean; Selman & Asociados Arquitectura. She has also worked at Bill Dunster's ZEDfactory –zero energy development, and as a Sustainable Design Consultant for Mott MacDonald. Gabriela's key experience lies in building design optimisation via the use of environmental analysis and simulation in order to deliver customised sustainable developments. Her work ranges from large scale sustainable masterplanning to promoting the use of healthy materials for bespoke interiors.
