Feilden+Mawson have completed a new boutique hotel at 87 Gloucester Place. This project forms the 2nd Phase of 3 involving the complete refurbishment of six Grade II listed Georgian townhouses for The Portman Estate on Gloucester Place W1H.  No87 Gloucester Place is a bespoke stand alone hotel for an up market version of a Z Hotels operation.

The build was completed in early June 2016 for occupation by Z Hotels as the operator acting on behalf of The Portman Estate.  Following completion of the 3rd and last Phase of the project, Phases 1 and 3 will operate as the large hotel in tandem with 87 as the boutique option in this historic setting.

The building is the latest refurbishment project within the evolving regeneration of The Portman Estate and combines carefully restored period features with exceptional modern facilities. The works include the addition of new heating and cooling plant at roof level, a new ventilation system, general replacement of existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, a new lift car, a new basement floor slab, upgrades to acoustics and fire resistance of walls and floors, upgrades and repair to the existing building envelope, a new roof, as well as general changes to existing layouts on all floors throughout the property.
