Construction work is due to commence at King's Lynn Innovation Centre following the appointment of building contractor R G Carter to complete the works. The official turf cutting ceremony took place on 21st May when representatives from Nwes, R G Carter and the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk placed the inaugural spade in the ground at the site.

Once opened, KLIC (King's Lynn Innovation Centre), owned and managed by Nwes, will be a hub for business information, knowledge transfer and engagement with world leading companies in West Norfolk. Opening in 2016, KLIC is expected to act as a catalyst for further economic development and employment opportunities in the Nar Ouse Regeneration Area of King's Lynn.

The landmark building is the latest significant project to be delivered by Nwes and will provide long awaited state-of-the-art commercial workspace in the West Norfolk area. Tenants and clients will benefit from top-specification serviced office space, modern conference suites and an optimum working environment equipped with the latest technology.

Services delivered by Nwes will include high calibre one-to-one business advice, mentoring workshops and access to financial support providing the tools for local entrepreneurs and start-up companies to flourish and further strengthen the local economy.

When the doors open in Spring 2016, KLIC will become a flagship centre on the Nwes portfolio and a hub for the provision of core business support services in West Norfolk.
