Nearly 22,000 participants descended on Cannes to take part in the exhausting week in March that was MIPIM's 25th anniversary. Among the delegates were Partners Philip Bodie and Charles Curry-Hyde who represented Feilden+Mawson in the London Stand. As an exhibitor, F+M aimed to make new contacts and strengthen existing ones with a specific goal to reinforce F+M's London presence.

The London Stand attracted a large proportion of the thousands of professionals from the world of development. Opportunities also arose from chance meetings on the aircraft going over, in the bars and in various other stands. Contacts made ranged from local retailers who could advise on quality restaurants away from the expensive influences of MIPIM to the London Mayor, Boris Johnson.

Prior to arrival on the Croisette, a delegate can undertake just so much preparation back in the UK but Philip and Charles were alert to opportunities during the week from 7.00am in the morning to early the next day, depending on endurance capabilities! We attended MIPIM this year to engage with clients and consultants, particularly agents, project managers and contractors that serve our core London sectors of Central Government, Residential, Transport and mixed use.

MIPIM is a great forum to help understand what is current in the market, to see and be seen.

In this regard, Feilden+Mawson definitely had 'a good MIPIM' and aim to be back in 2015 and might even get there by bike!
