Redevelopment of National Construction College
The Norwich office has been appointed by the National Construction College to provide architectural services for a £20 million redevelopment of the National Construction College facilities at Bircham Newton campus in Kings Lynn.
The Scope of Works includes the creation of new accommodation blocks with en-suite bedrooms; a new restaurant catering for learners and staff; a sports centre comprising of squash courts and possible swimming pool; plus additional amenities including a shop, offices and training support services.
The works will support sophisticated training initiatives such as ‘Constructionarium’ – a programme that provides engineering students from Universities across the UK and Europe with vital experience of life on a construction site by building scaled down versions of real life projects – transforming the Civil Engineering curriculum at undergraduate level.
