On the 13th April 2015, the Academy House project in central Cambridge celebrated reaching its highest point.

The event was attended by Bill Gredley, Tim Gredley, Stephen Walsh and Adrian Morris from UNEX; Dale Cooper and Stuart Jones from Feilden and Mawson LLP; Mark Jacobs from WSP; and Dennis Cotton, Richard Culy, Nick Leonard and Phil Robinson of Kier.

The group headed to the roof for the ceremony, which was started with a speech by Operations Director, Dennis Cotton. Dennis explained about the traditions surrounding topping out, as well as congratulating the team on their excellent progress to date.

Bill Gredley then said a few words, after a local beer was opened and poured over the roof.

Thank you to Kier for all of your hard work so far. I know that you are keeping the building's tenants, UNEX, happy - which in turn is keeping me happy. I look forward to returning to the site on completion this summer.

The group then headed back down to the ground floor and watched as a pane of glass was lifted into position by the site operatives.
