Alan Robson is a RIBA accredited Conservation Architect and specialises in work to historic buildings of all grades in both the public and private sectors. His extensive portfolio ranges from modest vernacular buildings to royal palaces.

He was Surveyor to the Fabric at Somerset House from 1998 to 2009 and is currently Conservation Architect for the listed buildings on the Cabinet Office's Whitehall Estate.

He leads the Feilden+Mawson Architectural Framework for the Parliamentary Estates Directorate and has been responsible for carrying out a feasibility study for the masterplanning for Kings College and Somerset House, including sensitive connectivity issues in a Grade I listed setting.

Recent highlights of his work include a new Education Centre for Parliament, improvement works art the Institution of Civil Engineers, the masterplan for Green Park Station and the development of listed almshouses in London.
