Manchester Civil Justice Centre
Manchester Civil Justice Centre comprises 47 courts, judges' accommodation and offices for several departments of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). The 15 storey building is the largest court building constructed since London's Royal Courts of Justice were built over 100 years ago.
Feilden+Mawson were involved on this project acting as technical and architectural advisors to MoJ. The work involved site selection, advising on the procurement route, forming the brief, advising both MoJ and the design team, and monitoring the design development and construction through to practical completion.
The building was procured through a Public Private Partnership with the design chosen in advance through an international design competition. Denton Corker Marshall won and were appointed as architects.
