National Bio Research Institute
Feilden+Mawson won the scheme in competition with other major international architecture firms, to design a new bio research campus.
The project involved developing a master plan for Beijing's National Institute of Fundamental Sciences, consisting of a number of research and administration buildings on an 8.9 hectare green field site. The completed development amounts to a 45,000m2 area of building, with the first phase of the development consisting of 26,000m2. A 300-seat auditorium and 2800m2 administration building form the nexus of the campus site.
