Alconbury Incubator Centre

The Incubator is the first flagship building on the Enterprise Campus, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdonshire, owned by property group Urban&Civic.

The Incubator provides flexible office and production space for small and start-up businesses within the high-tech manufacturing, research and development sectors.

Sustainable features include using 20% locally-sourced recycled aggregate in the concrete frame and recycled rainwater for flushing of WC’s. The building uses the thermal mass of the concrete structure to control internal temperature with a mixed-mode ventilation system.

A number of meeting rooms are provided for tenants or daily rental, along with a cafe and reception opening out into a glazed gallery for informal break-out space. The roof of the 4-storey glazed tower provides a viewing platform.
