Feilden+Mawson were appointed to carry out the design and delivery of a number of refurbishment and reconfiguration works, with an aim to increase productivity and improve the student experience on campus.

Projects included the phased refurbishment of the St John’s building to provide flexible working areas and breakout spaces, and the feasibility study for a Gas Gun installation within an existing laboratory space.

Following a fire to one of the Halls of Residences, upgrades were necessary to improve the fire strategy and safety on site, as well as improvements to the layout, enabling them to offer a better rental experience. Improvements included refurbishing the bedrooms and kitchens, as well upgrades to the bathrooms. The work on one was then used as the premise for improvements to be implemented on others within the campus.
