Immunology Laboratory, Department of Pathology

Feilden+Mawson Design Team progressed with Stage 3 Design to submit in March 2018 for an approval by the PEM. The project is to be tendered as a single stage design & build on the Stage 3 information and the design team to be retained by the client as technical advisors.

The Immunology laboratory is currently divided into several smaller rooms. The Department of Pathology wish to refurbish the laboratory and adjacent offices to ensure they are fit for purpose to meet the teaching and research requirements of the Department and enhance collaboration. The proposal will provide a new Immunology facility fully integrated into the existing building. The three Immunology teams work together in an open plan CAT1 lab in the centre of the layout.

The associated spaces are to include a 15 person open plan write up area, a CAT2 Tissue Culture laboratory, a coldroom, meeting room and 2no. cellular offices of which one is to accommodate two team leaders and one is a single person office.
