Salisbury Law Courts

This new building, completed in 2009, is the first combined court centre and is a groundbreaker for Her Majesty's Court Service in its procurement using the OJEU procedure.

Feilden+Mawson were appointed following a competitive interview in 2002 to act as lead designers and technical advisors for the new courthouse, which comprises two Crown and two Magistrates' Courts, a District Judge's Hearing Room and the regional office. It is located in the Salisbury City Conservation Area. The design and choice of materials draw from the local 'semi-urban' townscape and palette to achieve a civic presence, which is intended to spark regeneration on a main route into the city.
