Feilden+Mawson have developed a Masterplan for 20,400m2 of class B1 (b) accommodation on a 2.5Ha site, on adjoining land to the North of the ICR's Sutton campus, which has achieved planning consent. The development is designed to allow for phased development to meet funding and minimise disruption and impact on the surrounding area.
An active landscape management plan was developed to protect views from neighbouring properties and encourage ecological enhancement and promote biodiversity. The orientation of the buildings was considered in order to minimise overlooking and long-term screening of the site and enhances the outdoor amenity. The Masterplan has been adopted as part of the London Cancer Hub redevelopment of the adjoining Sutton Hospital site and will form the cornerstone of the expansion of ICRs’ campus.
