Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery

Feilden+Mawson (F+M) have been involved with the ICR on both their Sutton and Fulham Road sites since 1998. The £43m Centre for Cancer Drug Discover (CCDD) is the latest new build project delivered in 2020. It is the first building at the ICR’s North Site, for which we achieved change of use and outline planning approval in 2009 for a masterplan that would see three new buildings added to their restricted Sutton campus. The CCDD provides 7400m2 of multidisciplinary laboratory and research space, collaborative working environments and supporting services.

Designed for functional adaptability each floor is split in to 60% laboratory, 15% collaboration and 25% scientific offices with the potential to convert office space into biological laboratory space, as the research streams develop in the future. The building is now fully operational following post contract works for the operational fit out and installation of specialist equipment.
