The Feilden+Mawson Norwich office underwent a transformation in order to modernise the working environment and increase efficiency, included in the renovation was also the creation of luxury local flats behind the office.
We developed a scheme which saw a complete external revamp of the existing building including all-important insulation high performance glazing and new efficient building services, all wrapped up in a bronze coloured horizontal metal cladding to pick up on the colour and rhythm of the original brickwork (some of which was left exposed on the stair tower to retain an element of the building’s history).
The building has been extended and raised by an additional storey, in keeping with the original form and scale, to provide 10 new high-spec apartments, and to provide Feilden+Mawson with a new refreshed home in the shape of a new sustainable office of the future.
