Feilden+Mawson delivered the award winning new build 4 form entry Infant School and Junior School extension. The extension and alteration to the Junior School that was undertaken provided four new class bases, and a larger hall, in addition to new welfare and ancillary spaces.

The existing car parking and landscaping was remodelled and new external play surfaces were provided, harmonising the relationship between the two schools and their surrounding landscape. Key challenges included maintaining a high level of precision on a fast-track programme to deliver a replacement building following a fire that devastated the existing school, whilst in the process creating a new identity for the school. Regarded by Essex County Council as an exemplar school for its design, the new infant school, totalling over 2,000m², was successfully delivered on time and on budget
