Somerset House

Feilden+Mawson has acted as Surveyor to the Fabric to Somerset House, dealing with all conservation-based matters. Amongst our projects are the Learning Centre and the renovation of the first floor in the South Building to provide corporate entertainment suites and offices.

Other work included the preparation of a conservation plan, condition surveys, a disaster contingency plan, roof renewal, stone repair and cleaning, structural repairs, a sculpture survey, and procurement of facilities management and maintenance services.

Feilden+Mawson also carried out a feasibility study for King’s College London’s occupation of the New Wing with their Law Faculty. The project involved the reinstatement of the historic western pedestrian route, a flexible multifunctional conference suite, housing and a student learning café in a new building beneath.
