The Royal Courts of Justice

Feilden+Mawson has acted as Specialist Conservation Consultant for the Grade I listed Royal Courts of Justice, the largest court building in the country with some 90 courts, since 1996.

Works include a major external programme of stone cleaning and repairs, IT and re-wiring installations, condition surveys, a rolling programme of restoration and cleaning of historic courts, relighting the Great Hall, fire detection/compartmentation, lightning protection, and restoration of the Bear Garden and the clock on the Strand.

Feilden+Mawson were also appointed for this £10m the exterior and interior renovation of the Family Courts in the Queens Building constructed in the 1970’s to bring it up to standard for the 21st Century.
